An Independence from Europe's Mike Nattrass on elections

A former UKIP deputy leader, who has set up his own anti-EU party, explained the need for his An Independence from Europe (AIP), which is contesting seats in the 22 May European elections.

Mike Nattrass, elected as a UKIP MEP but has since left the party, said the AIP wanted out of the EU, and the new grouping did not believe in privatisation, especially for health services.

He told Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics: "We are not the same, we are to the left of UKIP."
