The arrival of free news on the internet has played a part in falling sales figures for newspapers and magazines bought in a shop or delivered to the door.

In a Daily Politics film, Adam Fleming explored whether the death of the "dead tree press" has been exaggerated, as he looked at statistics about the New York Times.

And he spoke to Justine Picardie, editor of the newly-launched Town and Country magazine.
