Chris Bryant confused on Croatia joining European Union
A former Europe minister was a year behind on the news when he spoke of Labour backing Croatia's bid to join the European Union.
Chris Bryant, who served as Gordon's minister for Brussels 2009-10, spoke at length on his support for Croatia's application for EU membership.
Speaking on a Daily Politics special programme from the European Parliament in Brussels, presenter Andrew Neil broke the news to him that the former Yugoslavian nation became an EU member on 1 July, 2013.
