Mandelson on Miliband's Labour leadership
Former cabinet minister Lord Mandelson has been giving his opinion of Ed Miliband's leadership of the Labour party on the the BBC's Newsnight programme.
Pressed by Jeremy Paxman on whether he believed Mr Miliband was the best leader for the party, he said: "He is the leader we have and therefore the leader I support and somebody who I believe is capable of leading the party to victory".
His comments come as Mr Miliband faces persistent questions about his leadership with under a year to go until the general election.
His personal ratings have been lagging significantly behind those of David Cameron, while a poll for Progress found voters thought his brother David would make a better prime minister.
