Myriam Francois-Cerrah on extremists and conservatism
Britain tolerates fascists because of the value placed on free speech and freedom of conscience, said Muslim campaigner and journalist Myriam Francois-Cerrah who looked at extremism and national security.
And she said the parents and governors in the so-called Trojan Horse controversy in Birmingham schools were "simply old-fashioned social conservatives", but not extremists.
Her personal film touches on values, including views held on single-sex schools, gay marriage, halal meat and the headscarf.
She will debate this film on Wednesday's Daily Politics with MPs Owen Smith and Priti Patel around 12:40 BST, and the whole programme will be on iPlayer for seven days.
