Deputy PM Nick Clegg courteous but curious about 'child caller'

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg was polite but curious after a very well-briefed young caller rang his radio show to quiz him about school meals.

The caller, who described himself as nine-year-old Rowan from south London, gave Mr Clegg a tough grilling on the Liberal Democrats policy of offering free school meals

From this term, all four to seven-year-olds in state-funded infant schools in England will be entitled to a free hot lunch every day.

Mr Clegg was tackled by the well-informed caller during his regular Q&A session on the LBC radio station.
