Benefits Street 'White Dee' on Osborne's benefits plans
George Osborne has promised that a future Conservative government would impose further cuts on the welfare bill in order to reduce the deficit.
Mr Osborne said the proposed freeze, which would not include pensions, disability benefits and maternity pay - would save £3bn.
Former benefits claimant, Deirdre Kelly, who is better known as ''White Dee'' of Channel 4's Benefits Street, said the government was "jumping on the bandwagon" to win over people who hate benefits claimants.
