TV election debates: Tory, Labour, Lib Dem and UKIP reaction

Politicians gave their reaction to the plans by broadcasters for televised debates between party leaders in the run-up to the 2015 general election.

The Daily Politics held its own debate over the BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4 bid for three debates with David Cameron, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage.

Jo Coburn heard from Conservative MP Chris Skidmore, Labour MP Emily Thornberry, Lib Dem MP Martin Horwood and UKIP's deputy chairman Suzanne Evans on the slots on offer to their party.
