Andrew Marr Show: José Manuel Barroso full interview

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EU Commission talks to the BBC's Andrew Marr about promoting investment, Britain's relationship with the EU and freedom of movement for people with the Union.

"Freedom of movement is a very important principle of the EU," says Mr Barroso.

He adds: "Arbitrary caps [on freedom of movement] seem to be a contradiction to EU Commission rules."

"The prime minister of Britain is much stronger globally if he has influence within the European Union."
