Nicola Sturgeon: SNP 'must be included' in debate
The Scottish National Party should be involved in television debates in the run up to the general election, its leader Nicola Sturgeon has said.
Prime Minister David Cameron and the Labour leader Ed Miliband have clashed over whether the leaders of smaller parties should be allowed to appear, with Mr Cameron saying he would not take part unless the Green Party was involved.
But Ms Sturgeon said the SNP should not be overlooked either.
She told the BBC: "To exclude Scotland's largest party and the UK's third largest party would not pass the most basic of democratic tests."
