Fracking and shale gas plan hold-ups across the UK
The government wants to preside over a shale gas revolution but ministers were accused of a U-turn after agreeing to Labour amendments to the Infrastructure Bill, which banned it in national parks.
The Scottish government has announced a moratorium on fracking, and plans for exploratory drilling in Lancashire were put on hold on Wednesday.
