Lib Dem leadership: We made some stupid mistakes, says Lamb

The two contenders for the leadership of the Liberal Democrats have been putting their case for the top job to a studio audience on the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme.

North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb and the MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale Tim Farron, are competing to replace Nick Clegg after the party's poor result at the May general election.

Mr Lamb accepted that his party had made mistakes, which contributed to its electoral woes.
