Labour leader campaign 'has been a mess'
As the battle over who should become the next Labour leader enters its final stages, the party's former director of communications Lance Price has described the leadership campaign as "an unedifying mess".
The party will begin sending out the first ballot papers to more than 600,000 people qualified to vote.
Two of the candidates, Liz Kendall and Yvette Cooper, have urged their supporters to vote for anyone but the current frontrunner Jeremy Corbyn.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Mr Price said the campaign had done noting to re-engage the party with the millions of people who had deserted it at the last election.
