Net migration targets still 'our ambition', says minister
Immigration Minister James Brokenshire MP has said that reducing net migration is still an "ambition", as new figures show that it has hit an all-time high.
The Office for National Statistics has said that net migration reached 330,000 in the year ending in March 2015.
The figure - the difference between the number entering the country and those leaving - is more than three times higher than the government's target.
Speaking to the BBC's Ross Hawkins, Mr Brokenshire said he wanted net migration to fall to below 100,000 by 2020.
