Junior doctors: Jeremy Hunt says strike vote 'very disappointing'

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt says junior doctors' decision to vote for strike action is "very disappointing". In an interview with BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg he said the government was not ruling out talks at conciliation service Acas but questioned the need for it at this stage.

He said he wanted to talk to doctors now about the independent proposals which are already on the table and urged doctors to choose not to strike and instead talk to the government about its plans to improve weekend care for patients.
