Natalie Bennett standing down as Green Party leader

Natalie Bennett will not be seeking re-election as leader of the Green Party in England and Wales when her term of office ends in in the summer.

After watching a montage of her time in the job, she told Jo Coburn her highlights were the party achieving 1.1m votes, seeing its membership quadruple, as well as challenges to David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nigel Farage.

The former journalist said: "I am not going away", but had decided to open up the space for other potential leaders to come forward.
