Soubry backs call for Brexit talks debate

Former Labour leader Ed Miliband is spearheading a demand for Parliament to debate the terms of Theresa May's negotiations over Brexit.

Former Conservative minister Anna Soubry, who was a prominent Remain campaigner, says she is backing Mr Miliband's letter to the Commons speaker because of the dangers of a "rush" to a "hard Brexit".

Mrs May has said she will not give a "running commentary" as she tries to get the best deal for the UK in the talks.
