PMQs: Thornberry and Lidington on the EU customs union
Emily Thornberry reminded David Lidington of his past comments on the EU customs union, as she asked about the government's stance on this trade arrangement.
The shadow foreign secretary claimed leaving the customs union could mean "chaos and gridlock", while the Leader of the Commons said there had been a "rather significant referendum since February and that changes the context in which we are now having to operate".
The pair were in the spotlight, as Theresa May was in the Middle East and Jeremy Corbyn was also not present.
