Paul Nuttall challenged over Hillsborough 'personal friend' claim

A radio presenter for Liverpool's Radio City Talk has challenged Paul Nuttall over claims he lost "close, personal friends" in the Hillsborough tragedy in 1989.

The UKIP leader was questioned about his account of the disaster in which 96 Liverpool fans died - and specifically information posted on his website about friends of his who died that day.

Mr Nuttall clarified in the interview that he had known people who had died but that they had not been close friends. He apologised and added he had not personally published the comment.
