Daily Politics soapbox: Sugar tax

The imposition of a sugar tax on some soft drinks will move a little closer in next week's Budget when the Treasury announces how much the rate of the levy will be.

Celebrities like Jamie Oliver, who has been campaigning for action against childhood obesity for a while, will be happy.

But for Dia Chakravarty of the Taxpayers' Alliance, the proposals are regressive and don't actually make any sense.
