UK Brexit secretary 'encouraged by progress' in Brexit talks

Brexit Secretary David Davis has said he is "encouraged by the progress we've made on understanding each other's positions" after talks with the EU's Michel Barnier.

Mr Davis insisted the UK had made "a fair and serious offer" on citizens' rights after Mr Barnier called for "legal certainty".
