'Pandemic has made returning people...much harder'- Sajid Javid

Health Secretary Sajid Javid has been speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr about the rising numbers of people crossing the Channel to seek asylum or to immigrate.

More than 24,700 people have made the crossing from France to the UK by boat so far this year - almost three times the total of 8,500 in 2020.
