Johnson on Downing Street Christmas party in 2020 lockdown

The prime minister has said that Christmas 2021 will be "considerably better than Christmas last year".

He had been asked to clarify what happened at a Downing Street party last December as lockdown rules tightened.

Asked why he would not answer and make the story go away, he said: "Because I told you."
