Liz Truss Commons' statement on Northern Ireland Protocol
The UK government is looking for a solution in Northern Ireland that “can command the broadest possible” support the foreign secretary has told MPs.
But Liz Truss said there was a “necessity to act” over the tensions around the Northern Ireland Protocol, governing trade arrangements across the Irish Sea.
She said there would be negotiations with people and businesses in Northern Ireland but added it was “not about scrapping the Protocol”.
