Conservative members react to the Chancellor's speech

Kwasi Kwarteng delivered his first conference speech as chancellor after a U-turn on plans to abolish the 45p income tax rate.

Despite one attendee describing the room as having a "slightly deflated mood", many members of the party said they were enthusiastic about the chancellor's plan.
