Tory MPs urge minister for tough line on immigration levels
Conservative deputy chairman Lee Anderson has called for a cap on immigration into the UK saying his constituents "have had enough of this".
Tory backbencher Sir Edward Leigh claimed the care home sector was "handing out visas like sweeties" and employing people on "starvation wages" of £20,000.
Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick gave a favourable reply to them both, and other Tories calling for more restrictions, after UK net migration in 2022 was revised up to a record 745,000.
