Ex-minister calls to quash 800 post office convictions
Nadhim Zahawi has called for a "simple bill" to allow ex-post office staff to have convictions overturned so they can claim compensation.
The former Tory chairman said "we can do something good" as he called for an immediate quashing of all convictions.
Former Justice Secretary Robert Buckland backed the call and added some victims had not come forward as they had “lost faith in the system”.
Current Justice Secretary Alex Chalk said the Horizon scandal was the “biggest miscarriage” of justice since the cases of the Guildford Four and Birmingham Six case.
