Shake-up for teaching conditions

A shake-up of teachers' pay and conditions has recommended they should have to remain in school for the whole of their working day rather than be allowed to take work home.

The time spent teaching pupils would stay the same. The McCormac review into teaching has also said that the current level of pay was acceptable but more emphasis needs to be put on training.
