Scottish independence: Lessons from Quebec

The SNP and the UK government have turned to Canada for advice ahead of the Scottish independence referendum.

The SNP's Westminster leader, Angus Robertson, was consulting nationalists in Quebec within months of the Holyrood election.

A senior Downing Street adviser was also sent to Canada as the UK government considered how best to respond to Scottish nationalism.

BBC Scotland's political correspondent, Glenn Campbell, has been to Canada to see what political advice is on offer.
