Alex Salmond promotes Scotland in California

First Minister Alex Salmond is in California promoting Scotland as a place to invest.

He has attended to world premiere of animation film Brave, set in the Highlands, and spoken to members of a prestige San Francisco organisation, the Commonwealth Club of California.

Mr Salmond told the club: "Scotland is becoming the Silicon Valley of marine energy worldwide.

"Having been at the heart of the marine engineering revolution of the 19th century, we are now placing ourselves at the heart of the marine engineering revolution of the 21st century."
