Pioneering technique sees body's 'spilled' blood being reused

Bioengineers at Strathclyde University have developed a pioneering technique to recover the blood spilled during major operations.

The process will make it easier for patients to get their own blood back and reduce the risks and costs of transfusions.

Hemosep is now vying for a slice of a multi-billion dollar worldwide market.
