Highland and Islands residents are happiest in the UK

The residents of the Highlands and Islands have emerged as the happiest people in the UK.

The New Economics Foundation published its analysis of National Statistic Office data.

It comes two years on from the prime minister's decision to launch a national consultation on the nation's happiness.

Saamah Abdallah, lead well-being researcher at the New Economics Foundation, spoke to BBC Scotland's Gary Robertson.
