Request to retry Angus Sinclair for World's End murders
The Crown Office has asked the High Court for approval to prosecute a man cleared of murdering two teenage girls in Edinburgh 35 years ago.
Angus Sinclair was acquitted five years ago of killing Christine Eadie and Helen Scott in what became known as the World's End murders.
The request to try him for a second time has been made under the Scottish government's double jeopardy legislation.
