Former Iraqi soldier: 'What happened in 2003 was a good thing'

This week marks the 10th anniversary of the start of the Iraq war.

BBC Reporting Scotland will bring you a series of personal memories of the impact the conflict had.

The first is by Ali Al-Rikabi , a former soldier in the Iraqi army.

After the coalition forces toppled Saddam Hussein his English language skills won him a job with the British Embassy in Baghdad.
