Sleep apnoea man stops breathing as he sleeps

Video from a sleep clinic shows a man who stops breathing for several seconds.

The man has obstructive sleep apnoea. A condition that causes sufferers to repeatedly stop breathing as they sleep.

The British Lung Foundation has said people in rural areas of Scotland are at higher risk of the disorder and may be undiagnosed because services are located in the central belt.
