Red Road tower block demolished in controlled explosion
The second of eight iconic Glasgow tower blocks has been razed to the ground in a controlled explosion.
Hundreds gathered to watch the demolition of the 30-storey building at Birnie Court, which is one of the Red Road high rises.
It took five seconds and about 88kg of explosives to reduce the tower to 10,000 tonnes of debris.
