Double demolition for Glasgow Gorbals tower blocks
Two tower blocks in the Gorbals area of Glasgow have been demolished, one after the other, in controlled explosions.
The Sandiefield Road blocks stood 69m tall and contained almost 400 flats. They were completed in 1971.
They are being cleared to make way for regeneration. A new health centre, social housing and office accommodation are planned for the site.
