Public urged to help protect Scotland's hen harriers

The public are being urged to play a part in protecting one of Scotland's rarest birds of prey, the hen harrier.

The species is illegally persecuted and Scottish Natural Heritage wants anyone who is out and about in the countryside to report sightings of the birds.

BBC Scotland's environment correspondent David Miller reports from a secret location in Perthshire.

If you want to report a sighting, you can do so via the Partnership for Action on Wildlife Crime website, external.
