Salmond sets out new law plans

Alex Salmond has set out the Scottish government's law-making plans for the year ahead - among them an end to the automatic early release from prison of violent and sexual offenders.

But critics have accused the first minister of putting government on hold because of what they say is the SNP's obsession with independence.
