JK Rowling funds new MS research centre

Multiple sclerosis is a condition that has touched many lives in Scotland.

Among them is JK Rowling, whose mother died of the disease.

The Harry Potter author has funded a research centre at Edinburgh University that she hopes will provide hope to thousands of people with MS.

She watched the Princess Royal open the centre on Tuesday morning.
