Scottish independence: MSPs pass referendum bill

MSPs have unanimously voted to pass the bill setting out the rules for the referendum on Scottish independence.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said it was historic legislation which would ensure a "robust and fair" referendum.

There was consensus over that, but earlier there had been a row over which currency an independent Scotland would use.

BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor reports.
