Scottish independence: Sturgeon says currency union benefits everyone

The SNP is launching its blueprint for independence, ahead of next September's referendum.

The Scottish government has described the 670-page white paper as a "landmark document", with the case for economic growth and fairness at its heart.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon told BBC Radio Scotland's Good Morning Scotland programme that a shared currency would benefit not only Scotland, but the rest of the UK as well.
