Father highlights dangers of concussion in sport

A new awareness campaign has been launched across Scotland to highlight the dangers of concussion in sport.

Ben Robinson was 14 years old when he died from second impact syndrome during a school rugby match.

His father Peter said: "We talk about recognise and remove and the first heavy impact that should have been recognised and he should have been removed."

The Scottish Government is sending out the new guidance to all schools and sporting organisations to raise awareness of the symptoms and danger of concussion in young people.

BBC Scotland's Cameron Buttle reports.
