Burrell Collection's 500 years of art to go on display

Works of art collected by Sir William Burrell will go on public display for the first time in one exhibition.

The 43 paintings span five centuries including work by Bellini, Boudin, Cezanne, Degas and Rembrandt.

This will be the last major exhibition at The Burrell Collection, external before it closes for refurbishment in 2016.

Refurbishment of the Pollok Park museum is expected to take four years.

BBC Scotland's arts correspondent Pauline McLean reports.
