Russian cyber crime gangs target Scotland

A BBC investigation has discovered that businesses and individuals in Scotland have been targeted by organised crime gangs in Russia who have carried out a series of cyber-attacks.

The gangs have hit companies and individuals across the country. Police are warning that many businesses may suffer irreversible damage.

It is estimated that last year cyber crime cost the UK economy around £80bn.
