Buckfast honeybees arrive at Scottish Parliament
The Scottish Parliament has taken delivery of its own batch of honey bees.
The Presiding officer welcomed the Buckfast bees, known for their productivity, to the Holyrood hives.
Tricia Marwick MSP said: "It will have a resonance in Scotland and perhaps a bit of amusement that the bees we've chosen for the Scottish Parliament are Buckfast bees."
It is hoped the bees at the parliament will produce their first batch of honey later in the year.
