Glasgow's World War One service for Commonwealth

Commemorative events have been staged across Scotland to mark 100 years since the start of World War One.

Britain declared war on Germany a century ago, entering a conflict that killed millions and transformed the world.

Of the dead, around 145,000 were Scots. A special service at Glasgow Cathedral was attended by Prince Charles, Prime Minister David Cameron and First Minister Alex Salmond as well as a number of Commonwealth heads of government.
