James McAvoy's ice bucket challenge

Actor James McAvoy has nominated First Minister Alex Salmond and Alistair Darling, leader of the Better Together campaign, to take part in the ice bucket challenge.

Mr McAvoy said: "As it's the year of the referendum, I would like to nominate our political champions Alistair Darling and Alex Salmond to do their very worst".

The X-Men star said he had been nominated by Jose Mourinho.

The trend sees people doused in cold water to raise money for charity and has raised millions so far.
