John Swinney: Budget will help create 'fairer' Scotland

Finance Secretary John Swinney has said he believes that the Scottish government's latest budget would help create a "fairer" Scotland.

The MSP highlighted a move to abolish Stamp Duty in favour of a new Land and Buildings Transactions tax.

He also said that the Scottish government's focus on balancing the country's finances since taking office in 2007 had helped give the country a good economic footing.
