Work starts on new Royal Navy warship in Clyde yards

Work has begun on the first of three Royal Navy warships at BAE Systems Govan and Scotstoun yards on the River Clyde.

The £348m contract was announced in August and secured hundreds of jobs in the process.

The state of the art vessels will support UK interests both at home and around the world. HMS Forth is due to be handed over in 2017
